Reggae Artiste Black Uhuru Biography by InfosysTV The most successful of the second-generation reggae bands, Black Uhuru maintained their high quality despite numerous personnel changes in their 40-plus-year history. The first reggae band to win a Grammy award, for their 1983 album Anthem, Black Uhuru was called "The most dynamic and progressive reggae act of the 1970s and early '80s." The band, whose name comes from the Swahili word meaning "freedom," was formed in the Waterhouse district of Kingston by Don Carlos, Rudolph "Garth" Dennis, and Derrick "Duckie" Simpson. When the group experienced difficulties securing a record contract, Spencer left to pursue a solo career and Dennis joined the Wailing Souls. Storm Frank to batter flooded UK over New Year with 120mph gales and more rain HELL

Forecasters are warning that Britain could be in for more torrential rain, snow and extreme flooding as we see in 2016.
Storm Frank could be the next weather front to hit Britain.
Severe 120mph winds are predicted to hit the UK tomorrow afternoon.
It comes while the UK is still battling extreme flooding that has forced hundreds to be evacuated from their homes and many more to battle with rising water.
The environment agency has put out 27 severe flood warnings across central northern England and Wales so far.
If this next bout of weather hits, many more regions of the UK could be submerged because of heavy rain and already saturated ground.
Residents of York have been left outraged after learning environment agency officials opened the flood barrier, allowing the city to be submerged in several feet of water.
Erica Hammill, who owns a hotel in the city, said: "Why on earth have they not maintained it? Why did they build it so it could get flooded when it is there to protect from the flood?
"It seems a pretty simple, straightforward question – how can you open a barrier that is there to protect everybody?
"Who on earth designed it and why have they let this happen?"
David Cameron has been slammed for the failure of flood defences across the North West as he begins to visit the worst affected areas.
Leeds and Manchester have been badly affected by the deluge of bad weather.
The cities have been submerged in several feet of water as people battle to keep their homes dry.
People from all over the UK have taken to social media to advertise spare rooms, empty houses and even caravans where victims of the flooding can stay.
Five hundred soldiers have been deployed and a further 1,000 remain on standby.
