2 killed in shooting at Florida hospital

(CNN)A man entered a patient's room at a medical center in Florida early Sunday and opened fire, killing two people, authorities said. The victims were an elderly female patient and a female hospital employee, who were sitting in the room, Titusville police Chief John Lau said. Moments after the shots rang out, two security guards came into the room at Parrish Medical Center and took the suspect down, the police chief said. The guards were not armed. They held the suspect down until police arrived and took him into custody. Lau praised the guards for their quick action. "I cannot stress enough, the response of the Parrish Medical Center staff, without a doubt, saved more lives," he said. It's unclear what led the suspect to open fire at the Titusville hospital. Authorities were tight-lipped when pressed for details. They said they were unsure of a possible motive and that there was no apparent connection between the suspect and the victims. Iran says it has started talks with global engineering giants Siemens and Rolls-Royce over power projects – a development that experts say show the country is gradually opening up to investors after the removal of the sanctions.  The Financial Times has quoted Iran’s Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian as saying that the talks with the companies were carried out when he was in London last week. Chitchian has also emphasized that he expected to “reach a result” soon. Siemens and Rolls-Royce were heavily engaged in various industries in Iran, specifically in the oil sector, before the US-engineered sanctions barred foreign investments in the country.  Both have confirmed to the Financial Times that Chitchian had discussed the so-called decentralized power generators with them

The protesters, among whom were high-profile sport stars, marched down Swanston Street before staging a sit-in at Flinders Street Station. They were chanting the campaign slogan “Black Lives Matter,” and “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” while expressing hatred against the US police’s brutality and racism. The ruling follows last month's move by the government to suspend all activities of the Wefaq National Islamic Society. Funds will be transferred to Bahrain's government, al-Arabiya TV said. Wefaq has helped lead pro-democracy protests in the country since 2011. That February, demonstrators took to the streets to demand greater political rights and an end to discrimination against the Shia majority. The following month, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa brought in troops from neighbouring Sunni-led Gulf states to restore order and crush dissent. The unrest left at least 30 civilians and five policemen dead. Opposition activists say dozens of
