Reggae Artiste Black Uhuru Biography by InfosysTV The most successful of the second-generation reggae bands, Black Uhuru maintained their high quality despite numerous personnel changes in their 40-plus-year history. The first reggae band to win a Grammy award, for their 1983 album Anthem, Black Uhuru was called "The most dynamic and progressive reggae act of the 1970s and early '80s." The band, whose name comes from the Swahili word meaning "freedom," was formed in the Waterhouse district of Kingston by Don Carlos, Rudolph "Garth" Dennis, and Derrick "Duckie" Simpson. When the group experienced difficulties securing a record contract, Spencer left to pursue a solo career and Dennis joined the Wailing Souls. Simpson, who remained the thread throughout Black Uhuru's evolution, reorganized the band with Errol "Jay" Wilson and quivery-voiced lead vocalist Michael Rose. Over 700 Shias missing after Nigeria army raids: Shia group

A Nigerian Shia group says more than 700 of its members are still unaccounted for a month after the deadly attacks by Nigerian forces against Shia Muslims in the northern city of Zaria. In a statement released on Thursday, Ibrahim Musa, the spokesman for the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), whose leader Sheikh Ibrahim al-Zakzaky is in police custody, said about 730 people have gone missing since December 12, 2015. “These missing people were either killed by the army or are in detention” but their “whereabouts are still unknown and undisclosed,” Musa said. He further noted that some 220 IMN members were in a prison, located in the city of Kaduna, the capital of the state with the same name, while others were in military custody elsewhere across the African state. Financing for the project has been set aside in the 2016-2025 federal space budget. Final MH17 crash report ‘unsubstantiated, inaccurate,’ new Russian probe says Some of the key conclusions of the Dutch Safety Board’s final report on the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 crash were ‘unsubstantiated and inaccurate,’ Russia’s aviation agency said in a letter to its counterpart in the Netherlands, citing new research. Since the final report, released on October 13, 2015, did not reflect many important facts mentioned by the Russian side, the country’s experts continued their investigation into the reasons for the crash, Oleg Storchevoy, deputy head of Rosaviatsiya, wrote in a letter addressed to leadership of the Dutch Safety Board (DSB). The Dutch side confirmed on Thursday receiving Storchevoy’s letter and said they would study it and reply as soon as possible. Celine Dion's husband and former manager Rene Angelil dies mage caption Rene Angelil helped release Celine Dion's first album when she was aged just 12 Rene Angelil, the husband and former manager of Celine Dion, has died aged 73, the singer  has announced . Mr Angelil, who Dion married in 1994 and with whom she has three children, died at home in Las Vegas from cancer. Dion took two career breaks to look after Mr Angelil after he was diagnosed with throat cancer, first in 2000. Mr Angelil was born in Montreal in 1942. After managing groups in Canada, he was approached to manage Dion by her parents when she was aged 12. Last year, Dion told USA Today she was preparing for her husband's death. "When it hits me, it's going to hit me," she told the newspaper in August 2015. "But my biggest job is to tell my husband, we're fine. I'll take care of our kids. You'll watch us from another spot."
